Argjentina siguron blerjen e 235 Automjeteve Stryker nga SHBA
Buenos Aires ka nënshkruar një letër pranimi me SHBA-në për të blerë 235 automjete Stryker 8×8, duke çuar përpara miratimin e sistemeve moderne të blinduara luftarake për Ushtrinë Argjentinase.

Marrëveshja mbulon transportuesin e këmbësorisë M1256, postin komandues M1251A1, mbështetjen me zjarr M1131A1 dhe variantet e evakuimit mjekësor M1133A1.
Sapo të dërgohet, flota do të pajisë forcat e mekanizuara të Ushtrisë Argjentinase, duke u bazuar në një grup fillestar prej tetë Stryker të dorëzuar midis fundit të vitit 2025 dhe fillimit të vitit 2026.
Sources noted that the South American country expects an initial delivery of 50 vehicles screened through technical inspections conducted at Fort Cavazos, Texas, earlier this year.
“This represents a milestone in the recovery and modernization of the Army’s operational capabilities, through an operation with especially favorable economic conditions,” the Argentine Ministry of Defense said.
About the Stryker
Originally developed by General Dynamics for the US Army, the Stryker measures 7 meters (23 feet) long, weighs 16,470 kilograms (36,310 pounds), and has the capacity for up to nine passengers.
The platform uses ceramic armor to protect against 14.5-millimeter shells and can be installed with a V-shaped underchassis for mine resistance.
Depending on its configuration, the system can be armed with a 12.7mm machine gun, 30mm chain gun, 40mm grenade launcher, 105mm tank gun, and 7.62mm auxiliary guns.
The vehicle is powered by a 350-horsepower Caterpillar C7 turbodiesel engine for a top speed of 60 miles (97 kilometers) per hour and a range of 310 kilometers (499 miles).
